We are well into summer, but it's always a good idea to keep "spring cleaning" in mind, especially in multigen families. Chores can get out of hand for small families so you can imagine what this is like for multigenerational homes. Grease, crumbs, dust, and germs can gain a strong foothold in your home and in some unexpectant places. While washing my hands at the kitchen sink, I dropped my ring.  I inserted my hand past the garbage disposal flaps and quickly retrieved my ring. Now, my ring wasn't the only thing that that came back from the abys of the garbage disposal. I had a brown slimy goo under my nails and a sticky substance on my hand.  I guess I always though everything just washed away down the drain. So FYI, the garbage disposal needs attention when cleaning, including the underside of the rubber flaps.
