According to Bank of America's 2018 Homebuyer Insights Report

These are 3 myths that are stopping renters from buying homes

1. 24% feel they need "perfect credit" (not true).

2. 43% feel they must get private mortgage insurance if they don't have at least 20% down.

3. 49% feel they have to have 20% down.
