Save Money Blog 101 You Have More Time Than Money!

Being a working wife and mother of 4 I find myself doing things I was taught as a child still today. I have very good credit, very savvy with my finances, and tend to cut cost on something every week. I decided to express how much simpler your life can be and how much you can save. My mom use to say she HAD MORE TIME THEN MONEY and she was not living from check to check, I have never seen her do that. R.I.P Mom 11/15/11

So...kids think electricity is magic they do not understand it has a white or pink bill attached to it. If you are gone during the day working and your kids are at school 8-9 hours a day and sleep 8-9 hours why are you using energy at those time? I know, just to be comfortable or it is laziness? Once you get in the habit and see the change in your energy bill you will send me a Starbucks Card, lol. (No, really)

Try UNPLUGGING everything that is not in use during the day and/or night  for the next 30 days, you may want to start when your new billing cycle begins. When my kids left for school I noticed the tv's were plugged in, radio, lamp still on grr, My 3 yr old's Leap Frog was charging, my coffee maker was plugged in, toaster, and the energy vampire was plugged in (Flat Screen). I do not watch much t.v. at all and plus the kids are not allowed to watch t.v. during the week so WHY IS IT PLUGGED IN?  I am still waiting for them to get into the habit. Call me a Cheapskate or smart but it works. Also, every time my promotional rate changes with my electric provider expires I just call them up or check the websites below and Bam! $$$
