Now, now I was talking about gas being .89 a gallon 10-12 years ago, I was on the road more than the cops. But now that gas is peaking at $3.40 evening out with the price of milk we have to change some things. Yes! the big C word, CHANGE.
Now, we do have to drive the speed limit to not waste so much of this precious gas. Leave earlier so you can cruise along to work and listen to your favorite tunes.
Fix your lunch at night and freeze your can of soda and take to work. If you are ashamed eat it in the car.
Clean out your trunk. Yes, open it up get the the stuff that has been weighing down your car for months, which causes your car to burn more gas.
Check your oil at least every 2 weeks and wash it. Dirt can weigh heavy on a car also.
Map your routes so you will go in a straight arrow and not zig zag over town.
Car pool, make sure you like the person. Hehehe
Can your kids catch the bus in the morning? If they are zoned to their school the bus may come right down the street. Yes, they may have to wake up 30 min earlier but that is cheaper then gas. Hey, we all served our time as a kid so they'll do what you say.
