The WORST mistake you could make it to buy a home and find out that your downpayment and closing cost could have been paid for in the form of a grant. I specialize in working and/or locating lenders who do not mind the extra work in order to get you the money you deserve. I have have met people who said they purchased a home, even new homes and the Realtor never mentioned anything about ANY assistance programs. Sure it takes a few more weeks, sure you may have to attend a class, but it is worth it. $$
