This list is a great mix of fun events (sipping glühwein at a traditional German Christmas market, a tiki holiday pop-up bar, and chili and beer fueled festival), annual events (Lights in the Heights), and family friendly events (ice skating at Discovery Green, Zoo Lights, etc..).
