When families ask me what it’s like to live in Spring, I always tell them: it’s not just where you live, it’s how you live. And here in Spring, life is full of fun, nature, community, and memory-making opportunities. So whether you’re just visiting or considering a move, here’s a list of my favorite family-friendly things to do in and around Spring.
This hidden gem is a favorite for kids and animal lovers alike. TGR Exotics is home to over 100 animals from around the world, and the best part? You can book private tours and even get up close with some of the animals. It’s educational, hands-on, and truly one of those “only in Spring” experiences.
On a hot Texas day, nothing beats the water park! Splashtown has everything from toddler-friendly splash pads to adrenaline-pumping slides. It’s a go-to summer destination for local families—mine included!
If your family loves the outdoors, you’ll love the Greenway. With miles of shaded trails, spots for fishing, biking, and even horseback riding, it’s an incredible escape into nature—right in our own backyard.
One of the most peaceful places in town. My clients are always surprised by how beautiful and big it is! It’s a great place for a weekend picnic, family photos, or just letting the kids run and explore.
Seasonal fun at its finest! In the spring and early summer, you can pick strawberries straight from the field. In the fall, pumpkins. It's a great way to teach kids about where food comes from, and the fresh produce is a nice bonus!
When Jurassic Quest rolls through town, it’s always a hit. Life-size animatronic dinosaurs, fossil digs, rides, and more. Be sure to keep an eye out for when it visits—it’s great for a weekend adventure.
Rainy day? No problem. Bouncin’ Bears is an indoor inflatable playground that’s safe, clean, and full of energy-burning fun. It’s also a local favorite for birthday parties.
This one’s for both kids and nostalgic parents! Over 100 vintage arcade games (like Pac-Man and Galaga) that you can play all day for one flat fee. It’s a great indoor spot for older kids and teens.
Spring is full of great parks, but some of my favorites include:
Southwell Park – playgrounds, basketball courts, picnic areas.
Bayer Park – bigger and often full of local softball games.
Pundt Park – connects to the Greenway and includes canoe launches and beautiful wooded trails.
