Back to School

This is always a fun time of the year.
Going back to school brings back memories of football, friends, and the thought of having to face homework all over again.
Actually, back to school gets everyone focused on starting something new i.e. starting a new class, a new job, or finding a new home.
Everything is new when you think about going back to school.  So, it's no surprise when we see a surge in home sales this time of the year.
Tons of folks use July and August to beat the Houston heat and go on vacation.
So when folks trickle back into the city by the 1st of September they have a few things they need to do.
The all important finding a home close to a school where the kids go so as not have to commute too far is a big concern.
Not only is finding the right school important but finding the right home is too.
So, agents are finding that even though vacation time was a good to cool off, the real estate market is just about to start heating up again.
Enjoy the next week or two, but be ready for the phone to start ringing off the hook again as Houston folks come back from vacation and feel the pressure to find that home before class begins.
