Houston Real Estate Agent
Have you ever noticed that there are a lot of homes on the market that are For Sale By Owner?
If you drive around town you will notice many homes with signs offering Home for Sale, Why?
Most of the time folks selling their home want to save the commission paid to the agent. Although, this seems like a good idea at first, bargain hunters know that For Sale by Owners are trying to save the commission, and bargain hunters want a deal so they never make a full offer. Instead bargain hunters make low ball offers because they want to get a really good deal.
Just when a For Sale by Owner thought they were going to make more by saving the commission, often times after months of many low ball offers coming in and no real good offers presented the For Sale by Owner now accepts a low ball offer because they have no choice.
When using an agent and having your home on the Multiple List that agents use those buyer agents see your home and show it to their client(s). Clients looking for a home just want to get a home, they want a deal too but they are more interested in finding a home because they need to move right away.
For Sale by Owners actually make more money using an agent and paying the commission because they will normally receive better offers faster.
Until next time.
Good Home Hunting!
