I met Ellen in 2011…me and my then fiancé were particularly interested in finding a house in a certain West Houston subdivision.  Our agent had something come up & was unable to meet us to show is this house, but Ellen Harrington, the agent for the seller, was nice enough to meet us and show us this house.  Ellen was upfront and told us that the seller already had an offer on the house.  My fiancé was really frustrated because she really liked this home.  This was the 2^nd in in this subdivision that we had looked at and once again it was sold before we could do anything about it.  When Ellen gave us the news the house was sold, she told me that she knew of another house in the neighborhood that would be hitting the market soon.  Once again representing the seller, she called me and alerted us to come look at this 3^rd house in this same neighborhood.  She showed us this house, and I decided to act swiftly…Ellen referred us to another agent with her firm, we made an offer, and wound up with our dream house.  Meanwhile, I now needed to sell my “bachelor pad” condo that I had owned for 29 years.  Although Ellen had been the agent for the other side when purchasing our house, we very impressed with how Ellen had marketed the properties she had shown us.  I decided it was time to get her on my side for this transaction.   She made some good suggestions on how to make the entry courtyard look better and had a professional photographer out to take photos for the internet ad.  A few months later the property was sold.  I’ve had the unique perspective of seeing Ellen operate from BOTH sides of a real estate transaction…she‘s very thorough and conscientious agent.  I would not hesitate to recommend her to someone looking for an honest, hard-working representative that is looking out for her client’s best interests.
