I'm hoping we're in for more of the same next weekend because Saturday, November 3rd is the Tour de Northside, a great annual event in one of my favorite parts of town, Houston's Northside. I'd love it if you could join me as it's a perfect way to see this emerging area, plus there's Mercado de Northside and SHOP LOCAL Market to enjoy after the ride!

Tour de Northside is a leisurely 15- to 20- mile bike ride through the Near Northside & Northside, an awesome collection of historic and rapidly revitalizing neighborhoods just north of Downtown and East of the Heights. The area's home to unique nightlife like White Oak Music Hall, Raven Tower, Edison and Patton, and Sideout Volleybar. Plus, catching the MetroRail Red Line to Downtown, Midtown, Hermann Park, and the Med Center is a breeze. Read all about the Northside in my Rediscovering Houston blog post:
What fascinates me as a Realtor about this area is the affordability (compared to Heights/Montrose) of housing, including some fantastic remodels and new construction with more of a quaint traditional look thanks to something called "minimum lot size" restriction throughout the area that prevents the typical townhouse look of most inner loop up-and-coming areas. I love working in this part of Houston, and even have my own investment property in the area! I definitely think the Northside worth getting to know and I can't think of a better introduction than the Tour de Northside! So will I see you there?
