With Super Bowl Sunday coming up, I’m sending this out a day early—not because I’m prepping for a watch party (I don’t cook, so that’s not happening), but because I know plenty of you are. Fun fact: the very first Super Bowl in 1967 didn’t even sell out—hard to imagine now, with over 100 million viewers tuning in each year. The day is so big that Americans consume an estimated 1.4 billion chicken wings, and guacamole consumption tops eight million pounds. Whether you’re in it for the game, the commercials, or just here to judge everyone’s dip choices, it’s one of the biggest unofficial holidays of the year.
