This week, we observed a somewhat quieter pace with only 5 new home contracts, while the listing scene held steady at 13 new properties, marking the third consecutive week at this count. October 7th- Houston Heights Fun Run 2023. Hybrid format offering in-person and virtual options. The IN PERSON option will be done the day of the event on the Boulevard with a choice of a 10k run, 5k walk or run, or a Kids 1k. The VIRTUAL option can be done from the time of registration up until race day on any trail that you choose! The last day to register is October 4th. October 20- Battle of the Boards. The evening will consist of a battle between six different charcuterie stations from local businesses, striving to win the title of “The Best Charcuterie Board in the Heights”! Drinks, dancing, and live and silent auctions will round out the evening. Sponsored by the Houston Heights Association. 6:30 pm-11:00 pm. Tickets: $75
October 21st- Halbert Halloween. Family-friendly Halloween festival at Halbert Park. Bring a chair and celebrate with friends and neighbors. Benefits park improvements through Friends of Halbert Park. 4 pm to 6 pm @ Halbert Park, 200 E 23rd St. Sponsored by the Sunset Heights Civic Association.
