I was born and raised in Lavaca County and graduated from Hallettsville High School. My roots run deep here in the Crossroads, and that foundation has shaped both my personal life and my professional journey. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Education and my Master of Education in Mid-Management from the University of Houston–Victoria, and I began my career in the classroom at Sweet Home Elementary. From there, I had the opportunity to teach at Victoria College and the University of Houston–Victoria, pouring into future educators and leaders.
