The Texas Tribune Festival

The Texas Tribune Festival is one of the nation’s largest, most buzzworthy political gatherings. Our three-day festival brings Texans together to address the politics and policy that affect our communities, our schools, our work and our daily lives. Join us when Texas’ biggest names and the nation’s most influential public figures flock to Austin to discuss our future. Among the more than 400 speakers announced to take the stage at #TribFest19, running Sept. 26-28 in downtown Austin, are U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas; Julián Castro, 2020 Democratic candidate for President; former U.S. ambassadors to the United Nations Susan Rice and Samantha Power; George F. Will, columnist for The Washington Post; U.S. Sen. Amy Klobuchar, D-Minnesota and 2020 Democratic candidate for President; U.S. Rep. Will Hurd, R-Helotes; Alex Wagner, co-host of Showtime's “The Circus”; David Axelrod, director of the University of Chicago Institute of Politics; William McRaven, former chancellor of the University of Texas System and former commander of the U.S. Special Operations Command; Mike Morath, Texas education commissioner; Betsy Price, mayor of Fort Worth; Eva Guzman, Texas Supreme Court justice; U.S. Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio; Cecile Richards, co-founder of Supermajority; Nate Silver, founder and editor-in-chief of FiveThirtyEight; George P. Bush, Texas land commissioner; Anthony Scaramucci, former White House communications director; Michael Beschloss, author and presidential historian for NBC News; Piper Kerman, criminal justice reform advocate and author of "Orange is the New Black"; and U.S. Rep. Sylvia Garcia, D-Houston, to name just a few.
