“Martha was very disappointing. When performing my market analysis, Martha missed recent lesser neighboring house sales and my house listed for $50k over market value and consequently sat on the market much longer than it should have. When I brought this to Martha’s attention, she tried to justify her actions by saying that we had visitors and therefore she wasn't at fault (even though we had no offers). Martha took little or no ownership of her errors and went so far as to even try to shift blame onto me. Martha scheduled open houses on the wrong days and even had another agent show up to my house on the wrong day to host an open house. Additionally, Martha routinely failed to follow through on my requests or instructions throughout the process including updating my listing description, changing marketing strategies, and providing me with proper and adequate communication. Eventually I fired Martha only to get an offer at the last minute so we continued the transaction. During the closing process, Martha understood so little of the transaction that she did not know a Release of Lien had to be executed before closing so that the closing could occur. Martha thought this document could be executed after closing. Anyone with a basic understanding of the closing process should know this. Throughout this process Martha apologized for her numerous errors and told me that this is not how she conducted business and that she would do better, but that never happened. She made hollow promises to improve and I ended up spending thousands of unnecessary dollars while my house sat on the market at an unreasonable price. Prior to posting this I sent this review to Martha offering to discuss or change any factual points she disagreed with and she never responded.”
