Consult a real estate attorney to draft the required paperwork before deciding to purchase a lease/option property. You definitely want an attorney to advise you on any contract presented to you by a seller. This type of purchasing arrangement can be very favorable to the seller and you want to be represented by someone with your and only your best interest in mind. Good luck on your potential purchase.
You will need to contact an attorney if you are looking for a lease with the option to buy. A realtor can assist you in your search for a home with an owner finance option.
I would caution against negotiating a lease/purchase option between just you and the seller.
Is there a reason you are looking into this route?

REALTORs in the state of Texas use promulgated forms (forms that are already written for them). There is not a promulgated form in Texas in the case of a lease to own home for a REALTOR to use. In this situation you would need to consult with an attorney to have the paperwork prepared. Homes are not advertised as lease to own on HAR.com because of this.
I hope this helps!

You can search online for real estate agents in the area that you are looking to buy. However most realtors(R) cannot represent you when you are leasing with the option to buy. This type of transaction would be between you and the seller/landlord. If you don't understand how this works, it's best to have a real estate attorney represent you.
