Depends on the type of violation.

Is it a city ordinance?
HOA violation?

You will report it to the governing agency that enforces the rules.

If you are talking about a listing violation, there is an icon right above the listing when you are viewing it in Matrix. It looks like a yellow triangle. Click on that and you can choose the violation and/or explain in the notes section and then click the submit button.

Talk to your Broker first about what the violation is. This is too vague of a question. It depends on the violation you are wanting to report.

Think and rethink what the violation is. Maybe the violation was not intentional. If you still think it’s worth reporting, talk and review with your broker. Reviewing the violation with your broker may give you a different view. Good Luck!

If it is a agent violation go to TREC's website www.trec.texas.gov and put in the agents name or license number.

It definitely depends on the type of violation. You can discuss with your broker, or contact the legal hotline. Be aware that anytime you contact the legal hotline, your broker is automatically notified, so you may want to start with your broker.

It depends on the violation. Is it city-related? HOA related? We need more information

Your question itself is a violation. You ask a blanket question without further details. Next time you post a question, please be specific on what, where, when and why. This way the HAR Real Estate Community can help you address your unique situation expeditiously and more accurately.
Thanks.

Trec (Texas Real Estate commission) if it was a realtor, home inspector or engineer licensed by Trec just go to thier web site. Make sure you are not under the wrong impression. Whoever upset you , please give them the curtesy of a call or email so they have a chance to tell you the other side. It might just be something that can be easily corrected or explained before you involve the state.
