Hello folk,
I leased 2 apts in the same complexes. The regional mgr kept ignoring my email. I was told a check was cut, but lost. She said she was trying to get the check reprinted. But since then, she just kept ignoring my emails. She haven't provided me with any update. I emailed numerous times, and left messages. It has been more than 7 months since my clients moved in. At this stage, what can I do to get my commission credit? Any suggestions?
thank you
Lee

In the past I have gone to the apartment and nicely chatted with the manager and then continued to stop by every week or two until they finally sent out the check. Fortunately the apartments weren't too far from the area I usually work in/live in so it wasn't inconvenient to me. Bring them some copies of the invoice, etc so they don't have any excuses. Tell them you will continue to stop by and check in on them for updates. I have offered to bring cookies etc if they needed that to speed up the process. They'll get the message. I have had other colleagues in the past be disrespectful and they got thrown out of the apartment by security and never received their locator fee. It's tempting to be a dck but I've always had a good experience with being respectful but (annoyingly) persistent.
