More often than not, the weather seems to conflict with the Open House. As a Listing (Selling) Agent, what would you recommend when the weather is expected to be bad? Homeowners is more reluctant to host an Open House, especially when turn out is expected to be low during bad weather.

We love to do them. However If weather is really bad sellers don't really want people traipsing through their homes with wet shoes. Floors and carpets can be damaged and then there's the slip and fall hazards. You be the judge but let owners know of the pitfalls.

Good Luck!

Cancel in advance but put a future date so anyone who was probably planning to be there (rain or shine) can still plan with the future date you post. It's a waste of time to have an open house (in my opinion) if heavy rain is forecasted - i.e above 50% rainfall planned (light rain you can make an exception and still ride it out).
