For this you need have full knowledge about rental agreements, these agreements are signed between tenant and the landlord which helps in smooth flow between the landlord and the tenant. Any issues can be made easy to solve if there is a perfect agreement.
The details of landlord termination notice will be included in this agreement.

Go to your Forms Library , and into the TAR Forms, and go to the category Property Management Forms, and find TAR Form 2217 titled "Notice of Landlord's Intent Not To Renew". It is short and sweet, simply says get out by this date! (^_^)

I'm not a lawyer, but as I understand it, there is no officially promulgated form for this. I'm pretty sure it needs to be in writing and give at a months' notice. I would suggest being polite, and possibly giving them more time. I would also suggest having a formal tone. If the lease is month to month, and explaining the reasoning especially if it isn't due to any bad blood between tenant and landlord, e.g. redevelopment, etc.. Anyway, there is no agreement so there is no agreement to breach. But certain laws protecting tenants require you to do certain things, e.g. the months notice.

There are several templates online:
