You cannot list a house for sale on HAR, but you may be on Zillow or trulia. HAR is for listing by realtors and is the most effective way to market your property for Houston metro area. You can contact any of you local realtor if you want to market your property on HAR.com. Good luck!
No...Since it's the Houston Association of Realtors site our professional dues pay to maintain the site. HAR.com has a very consumer friendly site but it's main purpose is MLS which is used by Realtors to exchange information. One of the reasons that HAR.com is a more reliable source of information than something like Craigs List for example, is because Realtors are held accountable for knowing the rules and entering the most acurate information avilable to them. Even licensed real estate brokers can't list on HAR.com unless they join the Houston Association of Realtors and agree to maintain a higher ethical standard. One of the many benefits of using a Realtor is your property listed on HAR.com.
Listing on HAR is different then listing on a public site such as Zillow.
HAR homes are accessed through a database we call MLS which is only added to by licensed professionals. This database is reserved for trained and licensed Realtors who pay dues to be apart of the Realtor association.
The information found on HAR is usually much more current and is only added to by licensed real estate agents, therefore not available to the public.
There are many realtors out there who would be more then happy to assist you though! Interview a few!
Frequently the fee associated with listing with a Realtor is the concern but it will be more then worth it to access all of the valuable marketing tools we have at our fingertips as real estate professionals!
Good luck!!!!
No, you must be a member of the Houston Association of Realtors and a member of our MLS to advertise property on HAR.com
HAR has over 20,000 agents who are practicing in residential sales and leases. I'm sure one of them will be a right match for you and can get the job done. Don't be shy, contact a few Realtors, chat with them about your situation and what they can do for you to help you achieve your real estate goals; and hire the one that's right for you.
