I am hoping to get some feedback on property rental service that is called Rentberry. Has anyone used it? Is free or not? Is it easy to list a property there?

I prefer to use rentberry more as good informational source and trendings screen. I'm landlording more than for 7 years and honestly to say their site is ti ideal, somehow search tool crashed several times, but tenants there are nice people, waiting for my lease agreement online. Very similar to cozy, but actually I prefer violet more than green :) Don't judge me too much. I strongly recommend everyone to check out their blog, because somehow I find very interesting data about investment market for free. Why not?

Hi Jackie,
Although I have not used this site, I have had clients tell me they did not like their experience with it. It seams not to get much traction.

Jackie, please always be careful with any of these "flat fee, get the listing on MLS" services. While I do not have personal experience with Rentberry, I will tell you that I have had TWO situations THIS week where people provided what looked like legit information and, when digging further, determined there were things that did not match up. PLEASE have a realtor represent you in the rental of your property (just as you would with the sale). There are so many scammers out there and it really takes an agent that KNOWS what to ask for and look and can write a lease that is protecting you, the landlord. Feel free to reach out anytime, with any questions. I'd be more than happy to connect you with a realtor in your area that can work with you!

Hi Jackie. They likely get their fees several ways. It says on the web site they charge your tenant a "success" fee of $25. Likely when they apply on-line for their credit report, they will up-charge their fee $5-$10. Finally, they likely will try to sell you other services or show you advertising from property managers to movers, etc. The one big problem I have is they just get you and the tenant together. Then what? Do you know the paperwork to use to create a lease? Do you know what is required of you as a landlord with the Texas Property code? And finally, can you read and understand a credit report? There is a lot of items to address. A local Realtor will have your home exposed on dozens of real estate web sites within 15 minutes of the home hitting the market. Not sure how Rentberry attracts tenants? Be careful. Let us know if we can assist you. (oh yes, we do property management as well!) Mark McNitt, Bernstein Realty. 832-567-4357
