About Me

Joanie Yust is excited about selling real estate in Texas! She proudly claims Galveston as her birthplace (BOI/Born on the Island)and traveled to the Piney Woods and Stephen F. Austin University for college. Joanie started her Houston career in real estate in 2000 and welcomes repeat clients, personal referrals and property virgins! "I've listed and sold in Memorial, Spring Branch, Katy, The Woodlands, the Inner-Loop, Lake Livingston and Galveston! However, if you are moving to another Texas city, I have personal Realtor contacts throughout the state of Texas and will gladly connect you."

Teaching school for 15 years jump-started Joanie's real estate career. "I am passionate about education and will take great care to review and explain all documents involved in the transaction. Keeping the lines of communication open is essential. Education plus communication equals a smooth transaction."

Knowledge and patience, coupled with a contagious sense of humor, regularly turns Joanie’s clients into life-long friends.

Joanie's homebase is the Memorial area, showing and selling throughout the Houston area. "I am thrilled to live close to all three of my adult children, their spouses and my five really cool grandsons! In 2021, I reached a lifelong dream of owning a beach home in my birthplace of Galveston. We are making great memories at 'Honey's Sand Castle.' I'm an advocate for animal rescue and my rescue, Ozzy, seldom leaves my side. College football is one of my favorite pastimes, especially when my beloved LSU Tigers are playing.

Joanie’s commitment, market knowledge and determination has won her several awards including “Rookie of the Year” in 2000 and multi-million dollar producing status since. She earned the GRI (Graduate of Real Estate Institute) status, became a Certified Negotiation Specialist and a Senior Real Estate Specialist. "At the top of my bucket list was to reach my goal of becoming a Texas broker," says Joanie. After meeting the educational requirements and passing the state and federal tests, Joanie achieved that goal in 2012.
