In 2006, David acquired a real estate license to purchase his first home in the Montrose area of Houston. Following this transaction, a friend asked him to help with a home purchase. This friend then referred five others and the roots of New Leaf were planted. However, it is David's childhood connection to Houston's many neighborhoods, as well as his passionate determination to thoughtfully populate these communities, that have consistently motivated him and his team at New Leaf Real Estate. David began his career in the energy sector in 1993 with Texas Ohio Gas, remaining with the company for 14 years. He transitioned from the energy sector to real estate when his brother, Eric, and he launched Houston Brothers Mortgage
