TEXAS REALTORS NAMES HAR’S OWN SHAD BOGANY AS TEXAS REALTOR OF THE YEAR

HOUSTON — (March 5, 2021) — Houston Association of Realtors (HAR) board member and former chairman, Shad Bogany, has been honored as Realtor of the Year by Texas Realtors at the statewide association’s recent Winter Meeting.

“Shad has dedicated his career to helping others,” said Marvin Jolly, 2020 Chairman of Texas Realtors. “From his involvement within the Realtor organization to his advocacy for affordable housing, Shad’s tireless service makes him an inspiration and role model for new and veteran Texas Realtors.”

The highest honor bestowed by Texas Realtors, the Texas Realtor of the Year designation is awarded annually to a Realtor that has built a career on service and devotion to the Texas real estate profession. Honorees have made outstanding contributions to the industry through involvement in their national, state and local associations during their careers.

For three decades, Bogany has been instrumental representing Realtors at the state and local levels. He served as chairman for Texas Realtors in 2013 and chairman of the HAR board in 2002. He was also named HAR’s Realtor of the Year in 2004 and is currently serving on HAR’s 2021 board.

“We congratulate Shad on this much deserved recognition and are grateful for his many years of service and unwavering dedication to the real estate industry,” said HAR Chairman Richard Miranda.

In addition to his service at the state and local levels, Bogany has led important real estate initiatives at the national level. He was NAR liaison for MLS and Data Strategies and chair of MLS Policies and Issues. In addition, he chaired the Advisory Board on Emerging Technology and Issues which developed the Clear Cooperation Policy. He has also been the Federal Political Coordinator for Congressman Al Green since 2008 and was recognized with the NAR Good Neighbor Award in 2008.

Bogany becomes the ninth HAR member to receive the Texas Realtor of the Year honor in the 63 years it has been bestowed.
