HAR ANNOUNCES RECOMMENDED CANDIDATES FOR THE WOODLANDS TOWNSHIP BOARD OF DIRECTORS

HOUSTON – (October 2, 2017) – The Houston Association of Realtors (HAR) Board of Directors has announced its decision to support the following candidates running for Directors positions in The Woodlands, Texas on Tuesday, November 7.

John McMullan – Position 5
Ann Snyder – Position 6
Laura Fillault – Position 7

HAR Montgomery County Political Affairs Advisory Leadership Chair Amanda Boyd commended all the candidates’ commitment to the interests of The Woodlands residents. “This November, The Woodlands Township voters have the opportunity to continue supporting proven leaders in our incumbent Directors McMullan, Snyder and Fillault,” said Boyd. “They all understand how important homeownership is and we are thrilled to support them.”

Houston Realtors are involved in the political process at all levels, promoting policies and supporting candidates who advocate for property rights and home ownership in the city of The Woodlands. According to the U.S. Census Current Population Survey, Texas has a 62 percent in homeownership rate. The Woodlands has a 73 percent homeownership rate, one of the highest in the state. Electing public officials who understand property owners’ concerns and act accordingly is the Association’s top priority.

The last day to register to vote is Tuesday, October 10. Early voting begins on Monday, October 23 and runs through Friday, November 3. Election Day is Tuesday, November 7.
