When we compared West Memorial Junior High School, which is a part of KATY ISD, with Woodcreek Junior High School, which is a part of KATY ISD, we noted a slight difference in ratings.
West Memorial Junior High School’s regular student population is 886 with a 13.5 students/teacher ratio. The student population at Woodcreek Junior High School is 1,508 students and a 17.4 students/teacher ratio.

West Memorial Junior High School bagged all seven distinction awards in Reading/English Language Arts (ELA), Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, post-secondary, with 25% student progress and 25% closing performance gaps. Woodcreek Junior High School’s two out of seven distinctions are in Science and 25% closing performance gaps.

Based on household incomes, West Memorial Junior High School’s economically disadvantaged students is significantly higher at 65.12% compared to 15.85% at Woodcreek Junior High School.
In terms of Limited English Proficiency (LEP), a term used in the United States that refers to a person who is not fluent in the English Language, mainly because it is not their native language, West Memorial Junior High School has a significantly higher number of English Language Learners comprising 24.38% of its student population compared to 6.63% at Woodcreek Junior High School.
In addition, West Memorial Junior High School has 23.93% bilingual students, 4.29% are in the gifted and talented program, while 17.49% are in the special education program.
