When we compared West Memorial Junior High School, which is a part of KATY ISD, with Cinco Ranch Junior High School, which is a part of KATY ISD, we noted a slight difference in ratings.

West Memorial Junior High School bagged all seven distinction awards in Reading/English Language Arts (ELA), Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, post-secondary, with 25% student progress and 25% closing performance gaps. The student population at Cinco Ranch Junior High School is also predominantly by Whites or Caucasians at 35.21%, followed by Hispanics (29.30%), Asians (23.40%), African Americans (8.50%), Two or More Races (3.37%) and Native Americans (0.14%).
Based on household incomes, West Memorial Junior High School’s economically disadvantaged students is significantly higher at 65.12% compared to 28.74% at Cinco Ranch Junior High School.
In terms of Limited English Proficiency (LEP), a term used in the United States that refers to a person who is not fluent in the English Language, mainly because it is not their native language, West Memorial Junior High School has 216 English Language Learners or ELLS or about 24.38% of student population. Cinco Ranch Junior High School has more ELLs at 220 or about 15.46% of student population.
