Choosing the best possible elementary school is critical to a child’s foundational development. In Texas, public school districts adopt curriculum standards set by the State Board of Education. When we compared Spears Elementary School, which is a part of FRISCO ISD, with Robertson Elementary School, which is a part of FRISCO ISD, we noted a slight difference in ratings.
Spears Elementary School has a regular student population of 787 with a 14.4 students/teacher ratio while Robertson Elementary School has 678 students and a student-teacher ratio of 15.6 students/teacher ratio.

A distinction designation acknowledges districts and campuses for outstanding achievement based on the outcomes of several performance indicators. Distinction designations are awarded for achievement in several areas and are based on performance relative to a group of campuses of similar type, size, grade span, and student demographics.
Distinction Designations for Spears Elementary School and Robertson Elementary School are not applicable as neither one earned a recognition for outstanding achievement in seven categories.
Based on Racial/Ethnic Groups, Whites or Caucasians comprise the biggest group at Spears Elementary School. They make up for 30.62% of student population, followed by Asians (26.81%), Hispanics (21.73%), African Americans (11.69%), Two or More Races (8.26%) and Native Americans (0.89%).
The student population at Robertson Elementary School is also predominantly by Whites or Caucasians at 36.87%, followed by Asians (32.01%), African Americans (12.68%), Hispanics (10.32%), Two or More Races (7.52%) and Native Americans (0.59%).
Based on household incomes, Spears Elementary School’s economically disadvantaged students is significantly higher at 22.49% compared to 10.77% at Robertson Elementary School.
In terms of Limited English Proficiency (LEP), a term used in the United States that refers to a person who is not fluent in the English Language, mainly because it is not their native language, Spears Elementary School has a significantly higher number of English Language Learners comprising 15.63% of its student population compared to 10.18% at Robertson Elementary School.
Spears Elementary School’s bilingual students comprise 14.99%, gifted and talented students, 4.70%, while 8.89% are in the special education program. Robertson Elementary School bilingual students comprise 9.73%, gifted and talented students, 4.42%, and 10.77% are in the special education program.
54 teachers employed at Spears Elementary School have been teaching in the school for an average of about 6.9 years with individual teaching experience averaging 10.9 years. The 43 teachers at Robertson Elementary School have been serving the school for an average of 5 years with individual teaching experience averaging 8.6 years.
