Based on Racial/Ethnic Groups, the dominant group in Smith Elementary School is Hispanics who make up nearly 83.13% of student population, followed by Whites or Caucasians (8.44%), African Americans (4.32%), Two or More Races (2.26%), Asians (1.03%) and Native Americans (0.21%).

Based on household incomes, the Smith Elementary School’s economically disadvantaged students is slightly lower at 84.36% compared to 90.63% at Mary Helen Berlanga Elementary School.
