Robert King Elementary School earned a State accountability rating of C (70-79) based on three domains: student achievement, school progress and closing the gaps. Distinction designations are awarded for achievement in several areas and are based on performance relative to a group of campuses of similar type, size, grade span, and student demographics.
Morton Ranch Elementary School's five out of seven distinctions are in Reading/English Language Arts (ELA), Mathematics, Science, post-secondary and 25% closing performance gaps. Robert King Elementary School has no distinction.
Based on Racial/Ethnic Groups, Hispanics comprise the biggest group at Robert King Elementary School. They make up for 54.44% of student population, followed by African Americans (17.65%), Whites or Caucasians (17.07%), Asians (5.54%), Two or More Races (4.96%) and Native Americans (0.35%).
At Morton Ranch Elementary School, Hispanics are the biggest group, comprising 60.48% of student population, followed by African Americans (21.50%), Whites or Caucasians (9.52%), Asians (4.76%), Two or More Races (3.20%) and Native Americans (0.46%).
Based on household incomes, the Robert King Elementary School’s economically disadvantaged students is slightly lower at 62.86% compared to 68.07% at Morton Ranch Elementary School.
In terms of Limited English Proficiency (LEP), a term used in the United States that refers to a person who is not fluent in the English Language, mainly because it is not their native language, Robert King Elementary School has 314 English Language Learners or ELLS or about 36.22% of student population. Morton Ranch Elementary School has significantly more ELLs at 557 or about 50.96% of student population.
In addition, Robert King Elementary School has 35.76% bilingual students, 0.58% are in the gifted and talented program, while 17.65% are in the special education program. This stacks up against Morton Ranch Elementary School with 50.59% bilingual students, 1.74% gifted and talented students and 15.19% students in the special education program.
