When we compared Riverwood Middle School, which is a part of HUMBLE ISD, with Creekwood Middle School, which is a part of HUMBLE ISD, we noted a slight difference in ratings.
Riverwood Middle School’s regular student population is 1,090 with a 17.7 students/teacher ratio. The student population at Creekwood Middle School is 1,173 students and a 16 students/teacher ratio.
Riverwood Middle School performed excellent to earn a State accountability rating of A (90-100) based on three domains: student achievement, school progress and closing the gaps. Distinction Designations for Riverwood Middle School and Creekwood Middle School are not applicable as neither one earned a recognition for outstanding achievement in seven categories.
Based on Racial/Ethnic Groups, the dominant group in Riverwood Middle School is Whites or Caucasians who make up nearly 70.00% of student population, followed by Hispanics (17.43%), Asians (5.41%), African Americans (4.22%), Two or More Races (2.39%) and Native Americans (0.37%).
At Creekwood Middle School, Whites or Caucasians make up 66.07% of student population, followed by Hispanics (23.53%), African Americans (4.26%), Two or More Races (3.75%), Asians (1.96%) and Native Americans (0.26%).
Based on household incomes, the Riverwood Middle School’s economically disadvantaged students is slightly lower at 9.54% compared to 17.39% at Creekwood Middle School.
In terms of Limited English Proficiency (LEP), a term used in the United States that refers to a person who is not fluent in the English Language, mainly because it is not their native language, Riverwood Middle School has 32 English Language Learners or ELLS or about 2.94% of student population. Creekwood Middle School has more ELLs at 33 or about 2.81% of student population.
