When we compared Oyster Creek Elementary School, which is a part of FORT BEND ISD, with Arizona Fleming Elementary School, which is a part of FORT BEND ISD, we noted a slight difference in ratings.
Oyster Creek Elementary School has a regular student population of 769 with a 14.8 students/teacher ratio while Arizona Fleming Elementary School has 510 students and a student-teacher ratio of 12.4 students/teacher ratio.

Oyster Creek Elementary School's four out of seven distinctions are in Reading/English Language Arts (ELA), post-secondary, with 25% student progress and 25% closing performance gaps. Arizona Fleming Elementary School did not earn any distinction.
Based on Racial/Ethnic Groups, Asians comprise the biggest group at Oyster Creek Elementary School. They make up for 33.68% of student population, followed by Hispanics (23.54%), African Americans (21.98%), Whites or Caucasians (16.64%), Two or More Races (3.64%) and Native Americans (0.26%).
At Arizona Fleming Elementary School, Hispanics are the biggest group, comprising 57.06% of student population, followed by African Americans (20.78%), Asians (17.45%), Two or More Races (2.75%) and Whites or Caucasians (1.96%). There is no Native Americans student in the school.
Based on household incomes, the Oyster Creek Elementary School’s economically disadvantaged students is significantly lower at 56.96% compared to 79.02% at Arizona Fleming Elementary School.
In terms of Limited English Proficiency (LEP), a term used in the United States that refers to a person who is not fluent in the English Language, mainly because it is not their native language, Oyster Creek Elementary School has 250 English Language Learners or ELLS or about 32.51% of student population. Arizona Fleming Elementary School has slightly more ELLs at 266 or about 52.16% of student population.
In addition, Oyster Creek Elementary School has 31.60% bilingual students, 1.43% are in the gifted and talented program, while 11.44% are in the special education program.
