Distinction designations are awarded for achievement in several areas and are based on performance relative to a group of campuses of similar type, size, grade span, and student demographics.
Moody High School's one out of seven distinction is in with 25% student progress. King High School did not earn any distinction.
Based on Racial/Ethnic Groups, the dominant group in Moody High School is Hispanics who make up nearly 88.77% of student population, followed by Whites or Caucasians (6.61%), African Americans (3.34%), Two or More Races (0.78%), Asians (0.28%) and Native Americans (0.07%).
At King High School, Hispanics make up 75.15% of student population, followed by Whites or Caucasians (17.49%), African Americans (4.25%), Asians (1.42%), Two or More Races (1.42%) and Native Americans (0.14%).
Based on household incomes, Moody High School’s economically disadvantaged students is significantly higher at 83.80% compared to 67.12% at King High School.
In terms of Limited English Proficiency (LEP), a term used in the United States that refers to a person who is not fluent in the English Language, mainly because it is not their native language, Moody High School has a significantly higher number of English Language Learners comprising 7.46% of its student population compared to 3.38% at King High School.
