It is in this area where the two schools differ. Mitchell Intermediate's four out of seven distinctions are in Reading/English Language Arts (ELA), Mathematics, Science and post-secondary. Moorhead J H’s only distinction designation is in Social Studies.
Based on Racial/Ethnic Groups, Whites or Caucasians comprise the biggest group at Mitchell Intermediate. They make up for 62.50% of student population, followed by Hispanics (21.37%), Asians (8.24%), African Americans (3.99%), Two or More Races (3.55%) and Native Americans (0.27%).
At Moorhead J H, Hispanics are the biggest group, comprising 64.92% of student population, followed by Whites or Caucasians (32.58%), African Americans (1.05%), Native Americans (0.73%), Two or More Races (0.65%) and Asians (0.08%).
