Lone Star High School performed excellent to earn a State accountability rating of A (90-100) based on three domains: student achievement, school progress and closing the gaps. Scores are scaled from 0 to 100 to align with letter grades. The school scored 92 in student achievement, 72 in school progress and 85 in closing performance gaps. It scored 90 overall in post-secondary readiness, a broad term that refers to student preparedness to undertake multiple pathways after graduation, or specifically, their preparedness for college education.
On the other hand, Lebanon Trail High School also performed excellent to earn a State accountability rating of A. The school posted 95 in student achievement, 86 in school progress, 89 in closing performance gaps and 93 overall in post-secondary readiness.
A distinction designation acknowledges districts and campuses for outstanding achievement based on the outcomes of several performance indicators. Distinction designations are awarded for achievement in several areas and are based on performance relative to a group of campuses of similar type, size, grade span, and student demographics.
Lebanon Trail High School's five out of seven distinctions are in Reading/English Language Arts (ELA), Mathematics, Science, Social Studies and with 25% student progress. Lone Star High School has no distinction.
Based on Racial/Ethnic Groups, Whites or Caucasians comprise the biggest group at Lone Star High School. They make up for 38.26% of student population, followed by African Americans (20.95%), Hispanics (18.38%), Asians (17.27%), Two or More Races (4.88%) and Native Americans (0.27%).
The student population at Lebanon Trail High School is also predominantly by Asians at 39.38%, followed by Whites or Caucasians (32.14%), Hispanics (13.57%), African Americans (10.25%), Two or More Races (4.16%) and Native Americans (0.45%).
Based on household incomes, Lone Star High School’s economically disadvantaged students is higher at 15.40% compared to 13.37% at Lebanon Trail High School.
In terms of Limited English Proficiency (LEP), a term used in the United States that refers to a person who is not fluent in the English Language, mainly because it is not their native language, Lone Star High School has 63 English Language Learners or ELLS or about 2.80% of student population. Lebanon Trail High School has significantly more ELLs at 88 or about 4.36% of student population.
In addition, Lone Star High School has 2.62% bilingual students, 10.39% are in the gifted and talented program, while 8.74% are in the special education program.
