Distinction designations are awarded for achievement in several areas and are based on performance relative to a group of campuses of similar type, size, grade span, and student demographics.
School Of Health Professions's seven out of seven distinctions are in Reading/English Language Arts (ELA), Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, post-secondary, with 25% student progress and 25% closing performance gaps. Justin F Kimball High School has no distinction.
Based on Racial/Ethnic Groups, the dominant group in Justin F Kimball High School is Hispanics who make up nearly 71.71% of student population, followed by African Americans (26.16%), Whites or Caucasians (1.22%), Two or More Races (0.46%), Native Americans (0.23%) and Asians (0.15%).
At School Of Health Professions, Hispanics make up 79.30% of student population, followed by African Americans (13.73%), Whites or Caucasians (3.07%), Asians (2.87%), Two or More Races (0.82%) and Native Americans (0.20%).
Based on household incomes, Justin F Kimball High School’s economically disadvantaged students is significantly higher at 86.31% compared to 70.49% at School Of Health Professions.
In terms of Limited English Proficiency (LEP), a term used in the United States that refers to a person who is not fluent in the English Language, mainly because it is not their native language, Justin F Kimball High School has a significantly higher number of English Language Learners comprising 51.41% of its student population compared to 11.68% at School Of Health Professions.
In addition, Justin F Kimball High School has 47.91% bilingual students, 8.75% are in the gifted and talented program, while 10.34% are in the special education program.
