Commonwealth Elementary School's six out of seven distinctions are in Reading/English Language Arts (ELA), Mathematics, Science, post-secondary, with 25% student progress and 25% closing performance gaps. Juan Seguin Elementary School has no distinction.
Based on Racial/Ethnic Groups, African Americans comprise the biggest group at Juan Seguin Elementary School. They make up for 41.52% of student population, followed by Asians (23.54%), Hispanics (20.89%), Whites or Caucasians (9.62%), Two or More Races (3.80%) and Native Americans (0.63%).
At Commonwealth Elementary School, Asians make up 69.81% of student population, followed by Whites or Caucasians (13.17%), Hispanics (6.42%), African Americans (5.46%), Two or More Races (4.50%) and Native Americans (0.64%).
Based on household incomes, Juan Seguin Elementary School’s economically disadvantaged students is significantly higher at 61.65% compared to 10.60% at Commonwealth Elementary School.
In terms of Limited English Proficiency (LEP), a term used in the United States that refers to a person who is not fluent in the English Language, mainly because it is not their native language, Juan Seguin Elementary School has a significantly higher number of English Language Learners comprising 34.05% of its student population compared to 17.13% at Commonwealth Elementary School.
In addition, Juan Seguin Elementary School has 33.67% bilingual students, 0.89% are in the gifted and talented program, while 11.01% are in the special education program.
