It is in this area where the two schools differ. Irons Junior High School's three out of seven distinctions are in Science, Social Studies and post-secondary. Cryar Intermediate’s two out of seven distinctions are in Mathematics and post-secondary.
Based on Racial/Ethnic Groups, Hispanics comprise the biggest group at Irons Junior High School. They make up for 37.61% of student population, followed by Whites or Caucasians (37.53%), African Americans (15.58%), Asians (4.60%), Two or More Races (3.95%) and Native Americans (0.48%).
