When we compared Hamlin Middle School, which is a part of CORPUS CHRISTI ISD, with Browne Middle School, which is a part of CORPUS CHRISTI ISD, we noted a huge gap in ratings.
Hamlin Middle School’s regular student population is 506 with a 15.8 students/teacher ratio. The student population at Browne Middle School is 586 students and a 15.5 students/teacher ratio.
Hamlin Middle School earned a State accountability rating of C (70-79) based on three domains: student achievement, school progress and closing the gaps. Distinction designations are awarded for achievement in several areas and are based on performance relative to a group of campuses of similar type, size, grade span, and student demographics.
Hamlin Middle School's one out of seven distinction is in Reading/English Language Arts (ELA). Browne Middle School did not earn any distinction.
Based on Racial/Ethnic Groups, the dominant group in Hamlin Middle School is Hispanics who make up nearly 84.78% of student population, followed by Whites or Caucasians (11.86%), African Americans (1.78%), Two or More Races (0.79%) and Asians (0.40%).
