Finch Elementary School's three out of seven distinctions are in Science, with 25% student progress and 25% closing performance gaps. Lizzie Nell Cundiff McClure Elementary School did not earn any distinction.
Based on Racial/Ethnic Groups, the dominant group in Finch Elementary School is Hispanics who make up nearly 75.98% of student population, followed by African Americans (10.21%), Whites or Caucasians (9.01%), Two or More Races (2.40%), Asians (1.80%) and Native Americans (0.60%).
At Lizzie Nell Cundiff McClure Elementary School, Whites or Caucasians are the biggest group, comprising 57.75% of student population, followed by Hispanics (14.08%), African Americans (12.97%), Asians (8.23%) and Two or More Races (6.80%). There is no Native Americans student in the school.
Based on household incomes, Finch Elementary School’s economically disadvantaged students is significantly higher at 73.27% compared to 14.24% at Lizzie Nell Cundiff McClure Elementary School.
In terms of Limited English Proficiency (LEP), a term used in the United States that refers to a person who is not fluent in the English Language, mainly because it is not their native language, Finch Elementary School has a significantly higher number of English Language Learners comprising 61.26% of its student population compared to 4.11% at Lizzie Nell Cundiff McClure Elementary School.
In addition, Finch Elementary School has 60.66% bilingual students, 4.50% are in the gifted and talented program, while 21.32% are in the special education program. This stacks up against Lizzie Nell Cundiff McClure Elementary School with 3.80% bilingual students, 12.03% gifted and talented students and 14.72% students in the special education program.
