Based on Racial/Ethnic Groups, Hispanics comprise the biggest group at East Texas Montessori Prep Academy. They make up for 43.35% of student population, followed by African Americans (37.96%), Whites or Caucasians (12.33%), Two or More Races (4.62%), Asians (1.45%) and Native Americans (0.10%).
The student population at Johnston-McQueen Elementary School is also predominantly by Whites or Caucasians at 35.24%, followed by African Americans (31.90%), Hispanics (24.05%), Two or More Races (5.95%), Asians (2.14%) and Native Americans (0.71%).
Based on household incomes, East Texas Montessori Prep Academy’s economically disadvantaged students is significantly higher at 95.38% compared to 79.29% at Johnston-McQueen Elementary School.
In terms of Limited English Proficiency (LEP), a term used in the United States that refers to a person who is not fluent in the English Language, mainly because it is not their native language, East Texas Montessori Prep Academy has a significantly higher number of English Language Learners comprising 29.87% of its student population compared to 8.33% at Johnston-McQueen Elementary School.
East Texas Montessori Prep Academy has no gifted and talented student, while 5.59% are in the special education program, and bilingual students comprise 29.67% students. Johnston-McQueen Elementary School 21.67% are in the special education program, 0.48% are in the gifted and talented program, and bilingual students comprise 7.62% students.
