It is in this area where the two schools differ. Condit Elementary School's five out of seven distinctions are in Reading/English Language Arts (ELA), Mathematics, Science, post-secondary and with 25% student progress. Texas Connections Academy At Houston’s only distinction designation is in Social Studies.
Based on Racial/Ethnic Groups, Hispanics comprise the biggest group at Condit Elementary School. They make up for 33.65% of student population, followed by Whites or Caucasians (33.10%), Asians (19.37%), African Americans (7.97%) and Two or More Races (5.63%). There is no Native Americans student in the school.
The student population at Texas Connections Academy At Houston is also predominantly by Whites or Caucasians at 35.92%, followed by Hispanics (34.97%), African Americans (15.81%), Asians (7.47%), Two or More Races (4.86%) and Native Americans (0.58%).
Based on household incomes, the Condit Elementary School’s economically disadvantaged students is slightly lower at 36.54% compared to 42.40% at Texas Connections Academy At Houston.
In terms of Limited English Proficiency (LEP), a term used in the United States that refers to a person who is not fluent in the English Language, mainly because it is not their native language, Condit Elementary School has 193 English Language Learners or ELLS or about 26.51% of student population. Texas Connections Academy At Houston has significantly more ELLs at 412 or about 4.07% of student population.
Condit Elementary School’s bilingual students comprise 33.93%, gifted and talented students, 28.43%, while 10.99% are in the special education program. Texas Connections Academy At Houston bilingual students comprise 4.09%, gifted and talented students, 0.80%, and 5.52% are in the special education program.
