When we compared Clear Creek Intermediate, which is a part of CLEAR CREEK ISD, with Victory Lakes Intermediate, which is a part of CLEAR CREEK ISD, we noted a slight difference in ratings.
Clear Creek Intermediate’s regular student population is 763 with a 16.1 students/teacher ratio. The student population at Victory Lakes Intermediate is 955 students and a 16.6 students/teacher ratio.
Clear Creek Intermediate earned a State accountability rating of C (70-79) based on three domains: student achievement, school progress and closing the gaps. Scores are scaled from 0 to 100 to align with letter grades. The school scored 73 in student achievement, 74 in school progress and 76 in closing performance gaps. Distinction designations are awarded for achievement in several areas and are based on performance relative to a group of campuses of similar type, size, grade span, and student demographics.
Distinction Designations for Clear Creek Intermediate and Victory Lakes Intermediate are not applicable as neither one earned a recognition for outstanding achievement in seven categories.
Based on Racial/Ethnic Groups, Hispanics comprise the biggest group at Clear Creek Intermediate. They make up for 44.95% of student population, followed by Whites or Caucasians (33.42%), African Americans (15.47%), Two or More Races (4.46%), Asians (1.44%) and Native Americans (0.26%).
At Victory Lakes Intermediate, Whites or Caucasians are the biggest group, comprising 56.54% of student population, followed by Hispanics (27.54%), African Americans (5.97%), Asians (5.13%), Two or More Races (4.40%) and Native Americans (0.21%).
Based on household incomes, Clear Creek Intermediate’s economically disadvantaged students is significantly higher at 59.90% compared to 24.08% at Victory Lakes Intermediate.
In terms of Limited English Proficiency (LEP), a term used in the United States that refers to a person who is not fluent in the English Language, mainly because it is not their native language, Clear Creek Intermediate has a significantly higher number of English Language Learners comprising 19.27% of its student population compared to 4.61% at Victory Lakes Intermediate.
In addition, Clear Creek Intermediate has 21.49% bilingual students, 2.10% are in the gifted and talented program, while 16.12% are in the special education program. This stacks up against Victory Lakes Intermediate with 4.40% bilingual students, 5.86% gifted and talented students and 10.16% students in the special education program.
Clear Creek Intermediate's 47 teachers have been working at the campus for an average of 4.4 years with individual teaching experience averaging 9.7 years. Teachers at Victory Lakes Intermediate, numbering 57 teachers, have been serving the school for an average of 5.4 years with individual teaching experience averaging 10 years.
Of its teaching staff, Clear Creek Intermediate no teacher serving the school for over 30 years, has four teachers serving the school for 20-30 years, 17 teachers have worked for 11-20 years, 13 teachers have worked for 6-10 years, while eight teachers have been serving the school for over 1-5 years, including five beginning teachers. In addition to its teaching staff, the school has three staff members in the school administration department and 11 more working as school support staff.
