When we compared Charlotte Anderson Preparatory Academy, which is a part of MANSFIELD ISD, with Nancy Neal Elementary School, which is a part of MANSFIELD ISD, we noted a slight difference in ratings.
Charlotte Anderson Preparatory Academy has a regular student population of 359 with a 12.5 students/teacher ratio while Nancy Neal Elementary School has 408 students and a student-teacher ratio of 13.6 students/teacher ratio.

Distinction designations are awarded for achievement in several areas and are based on performance relative to a group of campuses of similar type, size, grade span, and student demographics.
Nancy Neal Elementary School's two out of seven distinctions are in Mathematics and 25% closing performance gaps. Charlotte Anderson Preparatory Academy has no distinction.
Based on Racial/Ethnic Groups, African Americans comprise the biggest group at Charlotte Anderson Preparatory Academy. They make up for 34.26% of student population, followed by Hispanics (30.08%), Whites or Caucasians (25.91%), Asians (4.74%) and Two or More Races (4.74%). There is no Native Americans student in the school.
The student population at Nancy Neal Elementary School is also predominantly by Whites or Caucasians at 43.38%, followed by Hispanics (24.26%), African Americans (20.34%), Two or More Races (7.35%), Asians (3.92%) and Native Americans (0.74%).
Based on household incomes, Charlotte Anderson Preparatory Academy’s economically disadvantaged students is significantly higher at 59.89% compared to 32.35% at Nancy Neal Elementary School.
In terms of Limited English Proficiency (LEP), a term used in the United States that refers to a person who is not fluent in the English Language, mainly because it is not their native language, Charlotte Anderson Preparatory Academy has a significantly higher number of English Language Learners comprising 16.71% of its student population compared to 8.33% at Nancy Neal Elementary School.
In addition, Charlotte Anderson Preparatory Academy has 16.43% bilingual students, 2.23% are in the gifted and talented program, while 15.04% are in the special education program. This stacks up against Nancy Neal Elementary School with 8.33% bilingual students, 6.62% gifted and talented students and 11.27% students in the special education program.
