When we compared Charlotte Anderson Preparatory Academy, which is a part of MANSFIELD ISD, with Elizabeth Smith Academy, which is a part of MANSFIELD ISD, we noted a slight difference in ratings.
Charlotte Anderson Preparatory Academy has a regular student population of 359 with a 12.5 students/teacher ratio while Elizabeth Smith Academy has 584 students and a student-teacher ratio of 14.2 students/teacher ratio.

Distinction designations are awarded for achievement in several areas and are based on performance relative to a group of campuses of similar type, size, grade span, and student demographics.
Distinction Designations for Charlotte Anderson Preparatory Academy and Elizabeth Smith Academy are not applicable as neither one earned a recognition for outstanding achievement in seven categories.
Based on Racial/Ethnic Groups, African Americans comprise the biggest group at Charlotte Anderson Preparatory Academy. They make up for 34.26% of student population, followed by Hispanics (30.08%), Whites or Caucasians (25.91%), Asians (4.74%) and Two or More Races (4.74%). There is no Native Americans student in the school.
The student population at Elizabeth Smith Academy is also predominantly by African Americans at 33.39%, followed by Whites or Caucasians (31.16%), Hispanics (21.58%), Two or More Races (6.85%), Asians (6.34%) and Native Americans (0.51%).
Based on household incomes, Charlotte Anderson Preparatory Academy’s economically disadvantaged students is significantly higher at 59.89% compared to 26.54% at Elizabeth Smith Academy.
In terms of Limited English Proficiency (LEP), a term used in the United States that refers to a person who is not fluent in the English Language, mainly because it is not their native language, Charlotte Anderson Preparatory Academy has 60 English Language Learners or ELLS or about 16.71% of student population. Elizabeth Smith Academy has more ELLs at 65 or about 11.13% of student population.
In addition, Charlotte Anderson Preparatory Academy has 16.43% bilingual students, 2.23% are in the gifted and talented program, while 15.04% are in the special education program. This stacks up against Elizabeth Smith Academy with 10.79% bilingual students, 3.25% gifted and talented students and 8.39% students in the special education program.
