Choosing the best possible elementary school is critical to a child’s foundational development. In Texas, public school districts adopt curriculum standards set by the State Board of Education. When we compared Carroll Elementary School, which is a part of FRISCO ISD, with Rogers Elementary School, which is a part of FRISCO ISD, we noted a slight difference in ratings.
Carroll Elementary School has a regular student population of 617 with a 15.7 students/teacher ratio while Rogers Elementary School has 577 students and a student-teacher ratio of 13.9 students/teacher ratio.

Distinction designations are awarded for achievement in several areas and are based on performance relative to a group of campuses of similar type, size, grade span, and student demographics.
Distinction Designations for Carroll Elementary School and Rogers Elementary School are not applicable as neither one earned a recognition for outstanding achievement in seven categories.
Based on Racial/Ethnic Groups, Hispanics comprise the biggest group at Carroll Elementary School. They make up for 60.29% of student population, followed by Whites or Caucasians (24.47%), Asians (9.08%), Two or More Races (3.08%), African Americans (2.43%) and Native Americans (0.65%).
The student population at Rogers Elementary School is also predominantly by Whites or Caucasians at 46.97%, followed by Hispanics (21.84%), African Americans (14.38%), Asians (9.01%), Two or More Races (7.11%) and Native Americans (0.69%).
Based on household incomes, Carroll Elementary School’s economically disadvantaged students is significantly higher at 37.60% compared to 27.56% at Rogers Elementary School.
In terms of Limited English Proficiency (LEP), a term used in the United States that refers to a person who is not fluent in the English Language, mainly because it is not their native language, Carroll Elementary School has a significantly higher number of English Language Learners comprising 58.51% of its student population compared to 8.84% at Rogers Elementary School.
Carroll Elementary School’s bilingual students comprise 58.67%, gifted and talented students, 6.32%, while 8.91% are in the special education program. Rogers Elementary School bilingual students comprise 8.67%, gifted and talented students, 2.77%, and 14.90% are in the special education program.

The 41 teachers at Rogers Elementary School have been serving the school for an average of 6.1 years with individual teaching experience averaging 9.8 years.
