Cunningham Elementary School's five out of seven distinctions are in Reading/English Language Arts (ELA), Mathematics, post-secondary, with 25% student progress and 25% closing performance gaps. Burrus Elementary School has no distinction.
Based on Racial/Ethnic Groups, the dominant group in Burrus Elementary School is African Americans who make up nearly 68.73% of student population, followed by Hispanics (28.36%), Two or More Races (1.82%) and Whites or Caucasians (1.09%). There is no Asians and Native Americansstudents in the school.
At Cunningham Elementary School, Hispanics make up 75.41% of student population, followed by African Americans (18.69%), Asians (2.79%), Whites or Caucasians (2.46%), Two or More Races (0.49%) and Native Americans (0.16%).
Based on household incomes, Burrus Elementary School’s economically disadvantaged students is higher at 96.00% compared to 95.90% at Cunningham Elementary School.
In terms of Limited English Proficiency (LEP), a term used in the United States that refers to a person who is not fluent in the English Language, mainly because it is not their native language, Burrus Elementary School has 22 English Language Learners or ELLS or about 8.00% of student population. Cunningham Elementary School has significantly more ELLs at 422 or about 69.18% of student population.
