When we compared Brookline Elementary School, which is a part of HOUSTON ISD, with Bellfort Early Childhood Center, which is a part of HOUSTON ISD, we noted a slight difference in ratings.

Brookline Elementary School's six out of seven distinctions are in Reading/English Language Arts (ELA), Mathematics, Science, post-secondary, with 25% student progress and 25% closing performance gaps. Bellfort Early Childhood Center did not earn any distinction.
Based on Racial/Ethnic Groups, the dominant group in Brookline Elementary School is Hispanics who make up nearly 95.68% of student population, followed by African Americans (3.40%), Whites or Caucasians (0.79%) and Asians (0.13%). There is no Native Americans and Two or More Racesstudents in the school.
At Bellfort Early Childhood Center, Hispanics make up 80.87% of student population, followed by African Americans (17.49%), Whites or Caucasians (1.37%) and Asians (0.27%). There is no Native Americans and Two or More Racesstudents in the school.
Based on household incomes, the Brookline Elementary School’s economically disadvantaged students is lower at 96.47% compared to 98.91% at Bellfort Early Childhood Center.
In terms of Limited English Proficiency (LEP), a term used in the United States that refers to a person who is not fluent in the English Language, mainly because it is not their native language, Brookline Elementary School has a significantly higher number of English Language Learners comprising 66.62% of its student population compared to 64.75% at Bellfort Early Childhood Center.
Brookline Elementary School’s bilingual students comprise 61.65%, gifted and talented students, 5.63%, while 4.58% are in the special education program. Bellfort Early Childhood Center bilingual students comprise 64.48%, gifted and talented students, 1.09%, and 6.56% are in the special education program.
